About the role:
S/he will work closely with the PMT to track the implementation of the approved work plan, and document evidence of success, together with recommendations to support replication and scale-up.
S/he will be a detail-oriented person with strong interpersonal and organizational skills who thrives in a complex and busy work environment.
Duty Station:
Nairobi with periodic travel to the Counties.
Duration of the assignment:
10-month contract subject to funding/approval with the possibility of an extension
Reporting to:
Project Management Team (PMT)
Responsibilities:
Program Planning:
Work with the PMT to support appropriate and timely scheduling of the approved work plan, together with proper documentation of all activities.
Develop and maintain a tracking system to record monthly priorities, progress, and challenges.
Collaboration and Learning:
Assist the PMT to document and share key learning and innovations to expedite and/or support application and adoption across all counties.
Solicit and consolidate feedback on program plans, progress and challenges.
Conduct monitoring visits, as requested to support smooth implementation.
Monitoring & Evaluation:
Review and consolidate programme data to track progress and proactively identify challenges.
Assist in the preparation of programme reports, and other briefs to track progress & capture key learning.
Support and actively participate in after-action reviews.
Qualifications Required:
Masters’ Degree preferred – Gender and Development, Social Work or other related field.
A minimum of 5 years’ experience implementing complex development programs.
Proven technical writing experience, i.e. work plan development, preparation of quarterly reports etc.
Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
Good relationship management skills and the ability to work with diverse teams.
Proactive, and results-oriented with a keen attention to detail; able to multi-task and meet deadlines
Computer literacy with competency in MS Word and Excel.
Fluency in English and Kiswahili.
