Job Purpose
SSLN will be implemented in the three sub-Saharan African regions including Southern Africa,
Eastern Africa, and the West and Central African Region. We are looking for the SSLN –Program Operations Assistant. The coordinator will be responsible for supporting the Program Lead to plan and coordinate SSLN activities to be implemented as planned in East Africa Region.
Key Responsibility
Support coordination of face-to-face and virtual meetings/workshops with SSLN country champions for the East Africa countries;
In liaison with the country engagement leads (CELs), support analysis and drafting of PSAT summaries for the SSLN East Africa countries
Support in writing and filing reports in coordination with the CELs and technical leads on the participating countries who have completed PSATs for all relevant prevention pillars and developed their learning agendas and action plans based on the PSAT results;
Coordinate with PHDA finance and administration office to ensure seamless program operations (travel arrangements, procurement, payment facilitation, etc.);
Support in managing the program calendar to support the countries to track and monitor the implementation of the action plans;
Support in sharing relevant technical documents, and information tools with the countries periodically;
Coordinate activities between SSLN East Africa team and M&E team to document and share knowledge gained;
Support the team in problem-solving and decision-making; and Carry out any other duties as may be assigned by the Director
Qualification and Experience
A degree in a relevant discipline (epidemiology, development economics, public health,or other appropriate social science disciplines);
Technical knowledge in HIV prevention;
At least 5 years of experience working in the area of HIV prevention, and/or sexual and reproductive health and rights will be highly advantageous; and
Demonstrable experience managing and working with multiple stakeholders and strong relationship management skills;
