Key Responsibilities / Duties/ Tasks
Provide professional and confidential services to survivors of GBV, grounded in the comprehensive, survivor-centred case management approach.
Monitor survivor’s/ client information through accurate data entry through Commcare system and ensure confidential and safe storage.
Support the maintenance of SHOFCO’s case management system by maintaining client confidentiality and adherence to Case management protocol.
Participate in the development of case management monitoring systems and help to ensure that senior caseworkers utilize these systems correctly and consistently.
Supervise and provide training, mentorship, and other technical support to senior caseworkers.
Provide leadership and guidance regarding psychosocial and outreach activities to all senior caseworkers to ensure all programme activities meet best practice standards.
Develop and implement clear project activities workplan, plan champions trainings, GBV leaders meetings, and ROC Sessions with senior caseworkers adequately and ensure quality.
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with relevant stakeholders including community leaders and other implementing partners.
Support trainings to caseworkers and other staff to ensure they develop skills on GBV that meet best practice and is able to respond to the complex needs of the situation.
Conduct a mapping of community resources and select key structures for training and support to drive their involvement in GBV programming in the slums.
Build effective referral pathways and provide linkages for quality service delivery- Legal, Police, Gender recovery Centers amongst others.
Develop a sound advocacy plan on community led and community based GBV /child protection Programming.
Strengthen and maintain networks with community leaders, women leaders, and service providers.
Education Qualifications
Academic Qualification:
Bachelor Degree in Gender studies, Law, Political Sciences, Social Sciences or related field
Professional Qualification:
Higher diploma in counselling and/or psychology.
Other required qualifications (unique/job specific):
Minimum 5 years of direct psychosocial/counselling experience with a reputable agency; experience working with survivors of violence
Clear understanding of gender, abuse of power, and issues surrounding violence against women
Experience in participatory techniques and community mobilization
