Job Specification: Duties/responsibilities at this level entail:
Coordinate peacebuilding and research activities for CRTP
Coordinate project activities of the Centre for Research, Training and Publications (CRTP)
Write grant proposals for the CRTP activities
Write reports for activities based on the funds received
Maintain regular contact with donors and partners
Ensure all funds received from donors are accounted for
Organize workshop training for the CRTP activities
Organize and coordinate local, regional and international conferences & workshops
Ensure documentation of reports for each CRTP activities
Coordinate and monitor research assistants at the CRTP
Assist in publication processes of the CRTP research and documentations
Prepare regular mid-term and annual reports of the activities of the Centre for Research Training and Publications
Attend meetings related to activities of the CRTP and its network
Ensure publications of CRTP activities, especially research, conference presentations, etc.
Coordinate and organize CRTP monthly public peace forums
Update CRTP activities on the CRTP and Hekima University College websites
Any other tasks and duties required by the Management
Required Qualification
BA in social science subjects like – peace studies, sociology, international relations, anthropology. MA degree is an additional advantage
Minimum 2-3 year experience in program management
Good research and writing skills
Good administrative and organizational skills
Knowledge in logical framework matrix in project design and implementation
Knowledge in project proposal writing and project reporting
Practical knowledge in Excell
Practical knowledge in budget making, due diligence and monitoring expenses
Basic knowledge in finance reporting to donors
Good interpersonal skills and work ethics
Can work under pressure of deadlines
Available for travel to monitor project activities
Ability to handle multiple projects
