Production Supervisor – Assembly

Primary Purpose of the Role:

To effectively, efficiently and safely manage all BIC Assembly production operations and ensure products meet the laid down quality standards
Manpower mapping & scheduling, efficient resource utilization to manufacture goods and delivery of target.
Developing the master schedule for assembly production.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

Coordinating, supervision and scheduling all the Assembly production activities
Draw daily production plan, machine schedule and effectively allocate manpower.
Ensure accurate data is entered in JDE and production declarations and Inventory transfer is done in the JDE.
Performance monitoring – production targets and productivity tracking
Ensure responsible use of Consumables in BIC assembly.
Requisition of material/components and packaging according to the plan
Ensure accurate collection of production data through PDS and key in the data in PDM on daily basis.
Liaise with the Production Manager, Head of Quality assurance and QA analyst on all quality issues.
Analyze PDM data and identify improvement/ focus areas and lead RCA.
Develop & train process and production SOPs
Ensure production team adhere to standard operating procedures.
Plan & conduct weekly, quarterly, and annual stock takes.
Ensure 5S standards are maintained in the factory.
Adhere to all OHS/EHS rules as required.
Ensure assembly team adheres to all OHS/EHS rules.
Monitor and analyse and reduce scrap generation in assembly operations.

Academic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Production etc.)

Professional Qualifications

Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal health and safety regulations
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
Strong management skills with ability to supervise teams.
Strict adherence to company standards and safety procedures

Work Experience

5 years’ previous experience as a Production Supervisor, or related position
Experience working in BIC Factory is an added advantage
