Main Goal
Main responsibility is to supervise and help out-growers to ensure seed production (from sowing / transplanting to seed extraction) is according to targets of quality, quantity, timelines and costs for farm-allocated crops and to record all production data. It requires agronomical skills.
Job Description
Be an agronomist with green finger
Ensure that timely visit of crops at all stages of crop cycle to monitor crop development
Discuss and advice growers to adopt best practices for seed production
Based on the crop stages and crop condition advising/instructing growers to apply crop protection products
Responsible for training to production growers
Production Data and Analysis and reporting
Monitor plants delivery and seeds shipment to from grower network to plant operation
Ensuring timely and realistic update of the production estimates and delivery
Ensure external and internal compliance
Profile
Holder of degree in Horticulture/Agriculture.
4 years’ experience,
Experience and knowledge of a similar position
Must be proficient in oral and written English & Swahili.
A strong personality with overview.
Must be proactive and work with little supervision
Able to work in isolated area
Should be a team player and motivator.
Should be flexible and willing to learn.
Holder of a valid driving licence
