Responsibilities for the Production Manager Job
Planning and organizing production schedules, ensuring the production process is run smoothly and in a timely manner.
Ensuring compliance of operations with company policy as well as relevant statutory obligations.
Ensures the quality of raw products and final products in order to fulfill the set quality standards and setting customer standards.
Working with operating staff to establish procedures, standards, systems and procedures.
Ensure good hygiene and orderliness inside the factory, efficiently utilizing the space available.
Ensure that the factory complies with Quality control standards such as Global Gap and HACCP.
Prepare, analyze and submit periodic reports to senior management.
Ensure adherence to industrial regulations, and proper health and safety standards in the workplace at all times in line with the company’s health and safety standards.
Plan, coordinate & manage staff operations to achieve production targets.
Develop, motivate and manage the performance of staff under supervision.
Spearhead the process of getting the necessary certifications for export to different countries.
Production Manager Job Competencies
Minimum of a diploma in food science, business management, or their equivalent.
2-3 years work experience in food processing industry.
Must have knowledge and experience in Quality Management Certification Systems such as HACCP, and Global Gap
Great organization and management skills.
Effective supervision skills and ability to lead a team.
Mature and responsible.
Has good knowledge of both kiswahili and English
