Responsibility:
Develop and owning the product strategy, delivery roadmap, and execution of our Neo-bank portfolio, including but not limited to planning, delivery, communication, and on-going optimisation of the front-end product
Assimilate varied forms of information such as quantitative analytics data, research reports, client feedback, market trends and consumer demographic statistics and then combine this to define a product vision, strategy and KPIs for new product development
Lead cross-functional product delivery project teams [Digital, Data Science, Operations, Customer Service, Marketing & Country teams] to build and launch our new product, find product market fit, and grow the product/service
Strong knowledge of products in the business bank accounts, debit and credit cards, money transfers, loans/lending and business management tools.
Discover deep customer insights to identify, evaluate, scope, and launch compelling new features to find product market fit
Act as a Product Owner and lead the of product development lifecycle around new products. This encompasses everything from researching, shaping the strategy, prioritizing the right MVP scope, creating detailed product requirements, processes and specs, to managing delivery project plans and release calendar
Own Product Requirements Catalogue, Workflows, UX/UI Designs and Specifications as the main input for Product Development. Maintain country product variations, ensuring local standard, partner dependencies and regulatory requirements are met
Draw insights from experiments, data exploration, user feedback, MVP trials and market research to inform project prioritization and feature design
Work closely with external partners, fintech vendors and internal stakeholders such as design, research, engineering, marketing, analytics, and operations teams to define projects, triage bugs, update progress across the company, and set quarterly strategies and milestones
Set ambitious goals for yourself and for the product delivery team. Manage team workflow to ship deliverables on time
Jointly accountable for the profit and loss, global consistency, market penetration, business improvement and operational excellence
Own the product post go-live for continuous improvement from feedback from internal and external stakeholders including customers. Accountable for driving platform customer satisfaction (NPS) and ensure best-in-class customer experience & platform performance across the digital channels.
The Successful Applicant
At least 3 to 7 years of experience in Product Development and Management with a demonstrated ability to work with and lead technical teams. Experience in digital enablement and transformation
Experience working in leading Digital Banks or Commercial Banks or Mobile Money or Telcos or Marketplaces in Africa or Emerging Market is a plus
Highly structured, systematic and product processes driven
