Purpose
Reporting to the Finance Business Investment Analysis manager, the Product House Finance Manager will be responsible for supporting the Group Product house in evaluating Business Product Investment viability, alignment to the Group strategy and post implementation analysis on uptake and returns, including analysis on product performance.
Responsibility
Review of the annual product house budgets for consistency Y-o-Y, alignment with completion status of ongoing projects and correlation to current performance of similar projects.
Evaluate product investments proposals, revenues, initial product development costs & operative costs, and develop product P&L analysis.
Ensure appropriate performance measurement metrics are defined at the product business case preparation level, establish reports for post implementation performance evaluation and evaluate & report on post implementation performance to executive management.
Support other departments in preparation of business case models that coherently and succinctly communicate financial viability and business opportunity arising from different product investment decisions.
Work together with Commercial departments to drive the development of long-term product development plans in line with the overall business projections and strategy of the Group, in order to align with availability of capital and the long-term customer value proposition of the Groups customers.
Develop and provide insights on analysis of product volumes, product uptake, and product performance.
Develop and track Group product budgets.
Work with Business analytics and Intelligence to develop product performance dashboards that provides timely product performance analysis.
Qualifications
Requirements
A degree in Finance, commerce or other relevant business discipline.
Highly developed written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
At least 5-8 years relevant commercial and/ or management reporting experience, including exposure to senior executives and directors.
Knowledge of accounting best practices and regulations. CPA/ ACCA qualification or equivalent required.
Strong analytical skills.
Experience in budget and business case preparation & review.
Experience in product uptake and performance analysis, customer behavior analysis, an added advantage.
Master’s degree in a relevant field an added advantage.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office suite – Ms-Excel and PowerPoint.
