Procurement & Supplies Officer – Vacancy Code: PS 24 (1 Position)
The ideal candidate should be conversant with procurement processes, regulations, and supply chain management. Strong vendor negotiation skills, data analysis capabilities, and proficiency in procurement software are essential.
Key Qualifications & Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field with at least 10 years of procurement experience is required. Alternatively, a Master’s degree in a related field with a minimum of 5 years of post-training experience will also be considered.
Membership in the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM).
Professional certification in procurement such as CIPS or CPSP – K
An in-depth knowledge of procurement processes, regulations, and supply chain management.
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
Proficient in procurement software and data analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Team leadership and capacity building of the procurement team
Draft, review and implement relevant policies and procedures
Draft, review, and negotiate procurement contracts and agreements whilst ensuring that all contracts meet legal, regulatory, and policy requirements.
Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
Ensure adherence to procurement regulations and standards
Analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Oversee supply chain management to ensure efficient operations.
