Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Procurement Planning & Strategy: Develop and implement the Bank’s annual procurement plans, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and budget requirements.
Advisory Role: Provide expert advice to the senior management on procurement strategies, market trends, and cost-effective sourcing.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to identify reliable, cost-effective sources of goods and services.
Contract Management: Administer and monitor existing contracts, managing escalations and ensuring compliance with agreed terms and pricing mechanisms.
Supplier Management: Oversee supplier performance, ensuring timely delivery of quality goods/services and maintaining strong supplier relationships.
Inventory & Compliance: Manage inventory levels and ensure adherence to regulatory procurement standards through accurate reporting and audits.
Performance Reporting: Track and report on procurement activities, performance metrics, and departmental objectives to senior management.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to procurement processes, enhancing efficiency and reducing costs.
Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team, fostering continuous professional growth and performance excellence.
Qualifications & Experience
Be a holder of Bachelor’s degree in Procurement or Purchasing & Supply Management or any other business-related field from a recognized university.
Must have a minimum of three (3) years’ relevant experience.
Experience with an automated procurement system will be an added advantage.
Possess good administration and inventory management skills
