Key Responsibilities:
Procure materials and goods from suppliers, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, price, and reliability.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to achieve the best value for the company.
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure long-term partnerships.
Communicate regularly with suppliers to discuss purchases, resolve issues, and improve service levels.
Monitor supplier performance and implement improvement plans as needed.
Develop and implement strategies for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
Analyze market trends and supplier pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Report on cost savings achieved and future savings targets.
Create and maintain credit lines with suppliers.
Manage the procurement budget and ensure adherence to financial guidelines.
Prepare financial reports and analysis related to procurement activities.
Qualifications:
Must relevant bachelor’s degree in procurement or supply chain.
Must have 4+ years’ experience
Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office, procurement and purchasing software.
Must have membership of KISM/CIPS.
Demonstrated experience in cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
Proven track record of managing and leading a procurement team.
Strong commercial acumen and self-driven attitude.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Must be detail-oriented, analytical, organized and possess strong communication and problem-solving skills.
