Duties and Responsibilities
Provide a detailed list and curriculum vitae of the team that will support the assignment
Analysis of institutional setup related to hate speech, national and international legislation and guidelines
Recommendations for interventions based on the analysis
Stakeholders’ mapping in the area of hate speech
Evidence gathering should be done through desk research and interviews where applicable
Competencies
Fluency in English and Swahili
Ability to adhere to strict timelines and ensure quality deliverable
Displays cultural, gender, religion, race, nationality and age sensitivity and adaptability
Builds strong relationships with clients, focuses on impact and result for the client and responds positively to feedback
Required Skills and Experience
Holder of Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, Journalism, Information technology or Data Analysis or related fields
Minimum of 5 years of working experience on forensic research, data analytics, audits, cyber crime and open-source investigations techniques
Demonstrated knowledge of tracking tools of digital and social media spaces
Track record of contributions and achievements on countering hate speech, cyber-crime
Additional certification in forensic research, online governance regulations and/ or data analysis are highly desirable
Knowledge and demonstrated experience in countering misinformation, disinformation and countering hate speech as well as forensic and investigations techniques
Minimum 2 years of experience working in non-profit organizations
