PMTCT/Paediatric HIV Coordinator Associate Program Officer – Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Program Officer – Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Associate Program Officer, OVC Case Management Associate Program Officers, Prevention Data Management Officer (DMO)

Reporting to the Service Delivery Advisor, clinical services key Responsibilities

Design and supervise implementation of eMTCT, and Paediatric HIV identification and treatment
strategies across the four counties supported by JTP in line with the national guidelines
Provide on-going technical support and supervision for Paediatric HIV treatment and PMTCT program leading to integration of PMTCT with appropriate program areas like OVC, & Key population program
Design and oversee implementation of child-friendly interventions that promotes identification
of HIV-infected children, initiation of treatment, retention and viral suppression leading to overall
improved quality of life
Oversee the training of program staff and MOH health care workers at JTP-supported facilities on
national PMTCT guidelines and protocols
Strengthen referrals and linkages between the MCH where PMTCT activities are provided and the
HIV clinics at JTP supported facilities
Spearhead integration of PrEP in MCH across all JTP-supported facilities
Strengthen collaboration and linkages between PMTCT and HIV-Exposed Infants (HEI) activities at
the MCH, and coordination of HEI audits
Assist in the implementation of the monitoring and evaluation systems for PMTCT
Liaise with MOH and partners to support delivery of PMTCT services as needed
To participate in the PMTCT technical working group in the Ministry of Health, National AIDS and
STI Control Program (NASCOP)
Any other duties as assigned by the Service Delivery Advisor

Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or clinical medicine
Candidates with diploma in clinical medicine with advanced degree will be considered
A master’s degree in health-related discipline or project management will be an added advantage
Trainer of Trainers in PMTCT/Early Infant Diagnosis and/or Paediatric HIV
At least 5 years’ experience in the implementation of PMTCT & paediatric HIV programs
Experience in training and mentorship of health care workers on PMTCT & Paediatric HIV
Proficiency on MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to develop and maintain good relationships with staff and partners
Experience in design of programs
