Key Responsibilities:
The Pilot – First Officers shall:
The Assist the Commander as requested, concerning administrative duties in relation to the flight.
Participate in the planning and execution of company flights in accordance with legal and company policies and procedures to ensure safe, efficient and economical operation.
Carry out such duties concerning the flight, in accordance with Company Standard Operating Procedures, including procedures, limitations and performance relating to the specific aircraft Type, as are allocated to him by the Commander.
Confirm the safe navigation of the aircraft, maintaining a continuous and independent check upon both the geographical position of the aircraft and its safe terrain clearance.
Volunteer such advice, information and assistance to the Commander as may contribute favorably towards the safe and efficient conduct of the flight.
Seek and receive such information and/or explanation from the Commander as may be necessary to enable the First Officer to fulfill his function.
Represent and uphold company values to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Support and assist the captain in leading, motivating and directing operating crew to achieve high levels of discipline, morale and performance.
Verify and assure availability of flight documentation and aircraft library, contents and correctness before and after the flight.
Ensure implementation of safety, security and emergency standards at all times.
Ensure and maintain a healthy, safe and secure working environment in compliance with the relevant industry, regulatory and legislative requirements, company procedures, regulatory authorities and requirements of customer airlines.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience
Pilot – First Officer (E-Jet, B737-NG, B737F & B787)
Minimum 250 flight hours
Valid Commercial Pilot License
Preference will be given to applications with Flight Management system experience
Instrument Rating
Multi Engine Rating
Performance Rating A
Gas Turbine training
Type Rating is an added advantage
ICAO English proficiency of at least Level 4
Class 1 Medical certificate
Kenyan Nationality
High school certificate or equivalent; with Minimum average grade of C including in Mathematics, English and Physics or general sciences.
