People Specialist

Job description
We are motivated by an ambitious purpose and inspired by the exceptional people that we work with and we are looking for a People Specialist to join our People team. This position will be based in Nairobi, Kenya and will report to the Head of People & Operations // Kenya .
Purpose
Implement and drive People initiatives across all offices in Africa that support the development of the culture and that builds capability to embed a flexible and high performance culture that encourages people to be bold, to grow and to execute radically.
Key Responsibilities

Embed an EVP that attracts exceptional people and is “alive and well” internally, which includes driving a robust resourcing process that enables the appointment of exceptional people.
Partner the business to ensure they understand and fully adopt the high performance system in a way that creates a flexible and high performance culture that encourages people to be bold, to grow and to execute.
Work with the Head of People & Ops to determine current capacity, capabilities and gaps for capability development and to enable a highly effective and focused organizational structure.
Implement and drive initiatives that drive the engagement and empowerment of individuals and teams to create a positive and effective work environment, embed the JUMO culture imperatives and shared behaviours
Accurate and timely people administration, processes across all HR disciplines and reporting to enable value add business partnering and sound decision making.

Capabilities

Sound understanding of business needs and ability to translate into action
Leverage existing internal talent and capabilities to meet business and individual career development needs
Proactively identify and utilise effective sourcing mechanisms to build a pipeline of talent
Ability to self-manage , take initiative and proactively problem solve
Listening, observing, empowering and enabling growth and development
Ability to enhance the culture by living and role modelling the shared behaviours

Key Requirements

Relevant HR qualification or similar
3-6 years HR generalist experience
Must be a registered member of IHRM
Experience of recruiting for a broad range of roles, including direct sourcing and market mapping
Sound knowledge and understanding of labour legislation across the relevant territories JUMO operates in
