About the role.
The Kenya team is at the heart of our drive to make Uber both big and beloved by the people that matter in the cities we serve – both now and in the future. We are on the front line when it comes to shaping regulation, advocating for our vision for urban mobility, striking strategic partnerships and celebrating cities in ways only Uber can.
As the Partnerships and Operations Manager, you will play a critical multi-faceted role which centres around:
Originating and maintaining key strategic relationships in the market.
Driving, implementing, and tracking local marketing initiatives.
Monitoring the competitive landscape and use data to recommend changes in the marketplace.
Support multiple cross functional stakeholders from around the world with implementation of global initiatives and products.
Candidate Roles.
Originate and secure new partnerships that benefit Uber’s passengers and drivers.
Manage key strategic relationships in the local market.
Drive and coordinate local marketing efforts.
Track and evaluate the success of various local initiatives.
Closely monitor the local competitive landscape, identifying threats and opportunities.
Use data driven decision making to recommend changes to prices, incentives, products etc in the local marketplace.
Coordinate with and support multiple stakeholders in different regions with various projects and initiatives.
Basic Qualifications.
Experience.
5+ years in consulting, strategy, engineering, business development or a similar area.
Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in above fields.
Previous experience in
Project management (Required).
Stakeholder management (Required).
Data analytics (Required).
Business development (Preferred).
Marketing strategy (Preferred).
Marketplace management (Preferred).

You’re self-motivated and driven individual with a thirst for learning – You get stuff done.
You’ve got the ability to work with minimal supervision with the highest degree of integrity and accountability.
You make decisions based on Data – We use data to inform our decisions; you’ll quickly identify what data you need to solve a problem and how to analyse it to get to the answer.
You’re happy to apply your skill sets to different problems in a flexible environment and you work well with others.
Technical.
Excellent project management skills with a proven experience of delivering on multifaceted projects with many stakeholders.
Ability to write clearly and effectively; solid presentation/deck building skills.
Ability to model and work with complex data sets on MS Excel or equivalent.
SQL or other coding knowledge is strongly preferred. Willingness to learn (if inexperienced) is essential.
