Job Summary
The Paediatrician will provide clinical care to patients and emergency support to ensure timely and optimal delivery of quality patient care. The Paediatrician shall contribute to maintenance of evidence based and effective practice delivery by the clinical team. He/she shall provide supervision and support for junior medical staff co-located within specific outreach centres with period report of activities expected. The incumbent shall liaise with the quality advisor, manager outreach, Chair department of Paediatrics & Child health as well as other administrative support to fulfil the requirements of this position.
Requirements
Masters of Medicine in Paediatrics in a reputable institution and successful completion of a residency in Paediatrics.
Registration by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board
Current BLS, ETAT-plus or EPLS certificate
Experience in emergency paediatric setting will be an added advantage
S/he should be a good team player with interest in working in an academic institution
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
