Optical Degree Trainer

Key Responsibilities

Training Schedule Development: Create and manage training schedules to ensure smooth program delivery.
Consumables Preparation: Organize and prepare all required materials for training sessions.
Trainee Assessments: Conduct periodic assessments and evaluations, including the final 2.5 NVG exam.
Practical Skill Development: Organize field activities to enhance practical skills for trainees.
Records Management: Maintain accurate records of trainee progress and academic scores.
Refresher Sessions: Offer follow-up training sessions to graduated ER trainees.
Skill & Concept Assurance: Ensure trainees acquire both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
Student Motivation: Inspire and motivate students to achieve their learning goals.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Optometry and Vision Sciences
Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in training or optometry-related roles

Skills & Attributes

Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in MS Office applications
Skilled in both administrative and operational tasks
Excellent report-writing abilities
Previous experience in the education or training sector is an added advantage.
