JOB PURPOSE STATEMENT / POSITION OBJECTIVE
State briefly the principal purpose of the job, i.e. the reason for the existence of the job within the Organization.
To provide day to day operational service provision, contribute to the long-term development of the operations of Middle East Bank Kenya Ltd.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
State the end results the job is responsible for achieving, i.e. the end outputs against which the incumbent’s success in the job could be measured.
Cash replenishment and repatriation i.e. teller and vault.
Authorize cash paid and received from account holders.
Authorize M-pesa transactions for both retail and super-agent clients.
Handle all the forex transactions on behalf of the bank at the branch level.
Preparation of monthly reports e.g. End-Month Forex report.
Process inward clearing (eft and cheques) for the branch.
Balance out the settlement with the main office for our inward clearing
Issue Bankers Cheques to clients.
Authorize outward cheques received from clients.
Authorizing RTGS and SWIFT payment for our clients.
Handle renewal of call and term deposits, and interest payment for our clients.
Do customer visits and one-to-one service delivery to clients and potential clients.
Providing exceptional service to existing and walk in customers based on the relevant products and services delivery.
Assisting the Assistant Manager in the branch administrative duties.
Relieving the Assistant Manager when on leave on supervisory role.
CANDIDATE SPECIFICATIONS
State the nature and duration of experience, skills and knowledge as well as the personal attributes required to perform this job.
EXPERIENCE
Good front office skills.
Thorough understanding of bank operation procedures relating to cash, clearing, deposits, account opening e.tc
Customer service and customer relations from retail and marketing, getting new clients and at the same time maintaining old ones. Ability to cross sell bank products.
Experience in leading a team.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
Over 5 years in banking operations and customer relations
Thorough understanding of banking operations relating to cash, funds transfer, account opening, fixed deposit placements.
Computer literate.
Bachelor’s degree in business related field.
