Operations Manager- Hotel

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership: Support the Directors in the overall management of resort operations and contribute to the development of long-term strategic goals.
Marketing & Branding: Work closely with the marketing team to implement effective strategies that drive brand visibility, guest acquisition, and retention. Oversee online presence, promotions, and partnerships to attract new guests and maintain strong relationships with existing ones.
Service Excellence: Ensure consistent delivery of Bantu Africa Resort & Spa’s service standards and culture, ensuring a memorable guest experience.
Team Development: Develop and implement an employee value proposition that ensures a motivated, engaged, and high-performing workforce.
Operational Control: Ensure full compliance with all operational controls and standards in every department of the resort.
Guest Satisfaction: Handle guest concerns and feedback effectively, ensuring swift and efficient follow-ups to enhance guest satisfaction.
Operational Excellence: Oversee and optimize operational processes across all resort departments to maintain high levels of service quality and efficiency.
Crisis Management: Ensure all business continuity, emergency, and crisis management plans are up-to-date and communicated clearly to all teams.

Key Requirements:

Degree in Hospitality Management
Proven experience in a senior operational role within the hospitality industry (Hotel/Resort Management preferred).
Exceptional leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and guide teams.
Strong understanding of resort operations, service standards, and guest relations.
Ability to handle crisis situations and manage emergency protocols effectively.
Knowledge of financial management, budgeting, and cost control within a resort setting.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive, hands-on approach.
A passion for delivering outstanding guest service and maintaining high-quality operational standards.
