Job description
Strategy implementation and management:
Facilitate the organisation’s annual and multiple year strategic planning process
Managing the strategy squads and ensuring that each strategic plan is moving as planned
Monitoring the main organisational KPIs, as well as each strategy squads KPIs
Coming up with and managing collaboration tools to be used within the individual strategy squads and between different squads
Managing any changes in the strategy, and helping the Exec team in planning for any major pivots in the direction
Introduce a tracking mechanism on strategy execution and lead the tracking process to ensure the whole organisation and departments are on track to reach our goals. Getting the strategy implementation and oversight process automated as much as possible
Working with the executive team to facilitate annual business planning
Solving performance bottlenecks
Identifying and applying innovations to enhance operations
Communication and Documentation:
Support the senior leadership team to be an effective unit by helping to:
Develop Meeting Agendas
Prepare discussion materials
Ensure proper communication and follow up
Generating ideas for the improvement of the organisation and helping to execute said ideas
Preparing and facilitating documentation for the monthly and quarterly team meetings
Continue to refine and lead implementation of the organization-wide communications strategy. Establish a monthly all staff newsletter that highlights different aspects of the organisation
Take over the monthly VIP update to investors/potential investors and other partners
Provide best-practice guidance on other forms of communication (e.g., departmental communications, staff to fellow communications) to ensure they are in line with organization.
Management:
Day to day management of the Operations Associate, and being the standard bearer for the Associates in Ghana and Ivory Coast
Helping build up the operations team by identifying any hiring needs and leading the recruitment process
Office general management and ensuring that everything is running smoothly and that we are working in a conducive environment
Enabling the Trustees’ to fulfil their fiduciary role
Manage relations with partners both locally and globally. Get the most out of opportunities coming our way from potential partnerships with International Universities, Investor partners and other institutions
Support the CEO/Head of Finance and Operations as needed, across special programmes and general organizational management.
