The operations Assistant will be responsible for.
Assisting of the day to day running of the operations department
Efficiently managing the entire operations team across the country
Involved in strategic development and strategy making for operations
Regularly liaising with our courier providers to ensure smooth running with our logistics.
Identifying operational issues, potential problems and opportunities
Resolving and managing queries and complaints courteously and efficiently
Ensuring all site and customer objectives are achieved on a daily.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensuring that the other team members are always up to date with information on our day to day operations and any operational info that may affect our service delivery to clients.
Training, developing and motivating supervisory staff to effectively oversee all day-to-day operations of the site security personnel
Training subordinate supervisors on software systems, procedural guidelines, Company policies and enforcing consistency in policy practice
Work closely with operations team to come up with ways/Strategies on how to maximize on seals turnaround and avoid delays to clients.
Ensure that quarterly contracts for the operations team renewals and terminations are done on time and effectively.
Come up with and propose an effective reward/penalty scheme that cuts across his team to the management, and ensure adoption.
Oversee and monitor field operations and interface with the relevant departments to ensure smooth operations –Client Service and Technical.
Appraising staff performance and also taking disciplinary measures when required
Arranging for the induction and training of all new staff and as well the continuous retraining of existing staff.
Resolving and managing queries and complaints raised by clients through client service departments courteously and efficiently
Ensure that all the defined standard operating procedures defined by the company are followed especially Control Room.
Assist with high severity requests and escalate issues as needed to senior management.
Periodically visit clients to ensure client satisfaction on operational matters together with the client service team
Any other duties within the scope of your work as may be assigned by the Departmental Manager(s) from time to time.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Use sound and logical judgment in coming to a solution of a problem; and the ability to generate alternative solutions.
Proficient Client Service skills.
Manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail.
Deliver clear, concise and accurate messages to others through oral / written means.
Able to work diplomatically in a unionized environment
Excellent organizational, leadership, communication and time management skills.
Flexible to relocate.
