About the Opportunity
This is a new position for Inkomoko, with the opportunity to improve our systems and processes as we seek efficiency and scale. As a member of the office of the COO, this person will coordinate with senior leadership on a variety of topics to improve how Inkomoko operates:
Responsibilities
Specifically, the positions responsibilities include:
Analyzes and evaluates business procedures, and implements changes that will improve day-to-day operations – and staff happiness and client impacts!
Establishes metrics and standards by which the company’s efficiency and processes can be evaluated; identifies opportunities for improvement.
Ensures work environments in a range of communities are adequate and safe for our clients and colleagues.
Write SOPs for all areas of operation, and develop or modify processes to meet the contextual needs/challenges in expansion
Communicates and explains new policies or procedures to colleagues, ensuring that all team members adopt new systems.
Leads coordination and integration of efforts among departments for a smoother work-flow
Performs other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Previous experience in operations management, working in a fast-growing East African company with growing responsibilities.
Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, and ensuring that policies and practices are inclusive of a range of skills and user experiences.
Highly effective communicator who understands the importance of reaching people where they are for effective adoption of new policies and ways of working.
Incredible critical thinking skills – able to see a situation, assess what’s going wrong, and find creative solutions to fixing it.
Very adept in digital solutions and leveraging appropriate technology for growth.
Someone with a passion for making others’ lives better through good systems – not only will you help your colleagues, but you’ll ensure that they we can better reach our mission through efficient operations.
Able to balance between systems of protection/compliance, and a light-touch approach to ease the facilitation of work.
Advanced degree and multiple years of work experience preferred.
