Responsibilities
Successful applicants will join a growing and dynamic department committed to advancing best practices in Paediatrics and related sub-specialties, expanding services that meet quality and patient service needs within an internationally accredited university hospital with outstanding diagnostic services. Successful applicants will develop their academic career in teaching and research. In education, there is a focus on resident training and fellowship program training and planned introduction of undergraduate training.
Requirements
Applicants must have a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery(M.B.Ch.B) or equivalent
Master of Medicine in Paediatrics or equivalent
Certified and verifiable training in Neonatology from a recognized University/fellowship programme
S/he must be registered or eligible for registration with Kenya Medical Practitioners’ & Dentists Board
S/he should demonstrate competency and dexterity with all equipment and procedures relevant to Neonatology
S/he should demonstrate honesty, integrity, compassion and respect for diversity and apply ethical principles appropriately
S/he should provide appropriate professional leadership commensurate with level of responsibility and training
S/he should be able to adhere to deadlines, seek, and accept advice.
S/he should have capacity to work with minimal supervision
