The Legal Operations Specialist (National TDB Volunteer) collaborates closely with the Legal Operations Manager to facilitate technology adoption, operational efficiency, process improvements, transaction execution, and other strategic initiatives within the Legal Department. This position delivers essential administrative and technical assistance to the Legal Operations Team, driving TDB Group’s operational excellence, safeguarding institutional interests, and minimizing legal exposure.
Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of duties and responsibilities, ensuring meticulous attention to detail and adherence to established protocols. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, enhance operational efficiency, and achieve organizational objectives. Serve as a primary point of contact for stakeholders, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and facilitating clear, timely communication. Monitor performance metrics, analyze trends, and implement data-driven improvements to optimize workflows and productivity. The Legal Operations Specialist is responsible for a wide range of critical functions, encompassing but not limited to:
Assist in enhancing the Legal Department’s processes, systems, and technology through continuous improvement initiatives, including the development and execution of a structured project pipeline aimed at boosting efficiency and effectiveness.
Support the Legal Operations Department by actively gathering, evaluating, and presenting data regarding Legal Department Operations, enabling the development of key metrics to evaluate the efficient deployment of departmental resources and enhance overall productivity. This role ensures alignment with the Department’s strategic objectives while driving continuous improvement in operational performance.
Collaborate with various organizational stakeholders to jointly identify and address challenges, partnering with consulting personnel to execute agreed-upon solutions.
The Legal Operations Department seeks assistance in delivering project management expertise for the Legal Department, encompassing the creation of project plans, ongoing status oversight, and diligent task tracking.
Project leadership is required to oversee the entire transaction lifecycle for Group lending initiatives, encompassing multi-stakeholder engagements from initiation to completion.
Responsibilities include assisting with the monthly review and reconciliation of the Legal Department’s budget, along with delivering updated forecasts on a quarterly and annual basis as required.
Supporting technical and administrative functions critical to the Department’s case management and closure, this role involves document preparation, handling incoming and outgoing communications, managing correspondence, routing documents, and processing instructions and invoices from external counsel.
Responsible for organizing and managing legal documentation, ensuring compliance with established Bank policies, including both physical and digital filing systems.
The position assists in coordinating meetings, handling pre-meeting preparations, and managing post-meeting follow-up tasks to facilitate the Department’s daily operations.
Assisting with multiple operational projects and initiatives within the department.
Qualifications and Competencies
A Bachelor’s degree in business management, business administration, or business organization from an accredited institution is required. Holding a Master’s degree in a related field would be beneficial.
Candidates must possess a minimum of five years of proven, hands-on experience in a relevant field.
International exposure within a commercial enterprise, financial institution, or professional services organization—such as an international law firm, multinational corporation, banking institution, insurance company, global consulting firm, development finance institution (DFI), Ministry of Finance, National Treasury, or Sovereign Wealth Fund—will be viewed favorably.
Demonstrates a strong history of successfully overseeing and delivering projects from inception to completion.
A professional certification in project management offers an additional edge.
