Duties and responsibilities
Management of the Municipality; implementing the decisions and functions of the Municipal Board; implementing the Municipality Integrated Development Plan and monitoring the progress of implementation;
preparing and presenting for approval of the board an annual estimate of revenue and expenditure;
to fund and carry out the programmes and operations; building and maintaining strong and effective relationship between the municipality,
the community and other stakeholders; management of the provision of services to the local community in a sustainable and equitable manner; administration and implementation of municipality’s by-laws and other legislations; ensuring effective facilitation and co-ordination of citizen participation in the development of policies and plans and delivery of services, civic education and feedback mechanisms and management of the municipality’s human resource.
Specify Job Qualification below:
For appointment to this grade, an applicant MUST: – a) Be a citizen of Kenya; b) Be a holder of a degree or its equivalent from a university recognized in Kenya; c) Have proven experience of not less than five (5) years in administration or management either in the public or private sector.
