Job Description:
TBN Africa is seeking a Monitoring and Evaluation Lead to join our team. This position is essential for enhancing fundraising efforts and ensuring the effectiveness of programs. As the Monitoring and Evaluation Lead, your role will involve developing and implementing monitoring and evaluation frameworks, analyzing data, and providing insights to improve our impact. You will also contribute to proposal writing by offering evidence-based insights and supporting documentation. The ideal candidate will have a background in monitoring and evaluation methodologies, strong analytical skills, and a passion for driving social impact through entrepreneurship.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess the effectiveness of TBN Africa’s programs and initiatives.
Design data collection tools and methodologies to gather relevant data from entrepreneurs and businesses.
Collect, analyze, and interpret quantitative and qualitative data to measure the impact of our interventions.
Collaborate with internal teams to integrate monitoring and evaluation processes into program planning and implementation.
Provide regular reports and presentations on key performance indicators, trends, and insights to inform decision-making.
Support proposal writing efforts
Conduct field visits and interviews with entrepreneurs and businesses to gather firsthand insights and feedback.
Stay updated on best practices and emerging trends in monitoring and evaluation, entrepreneurship, and business development.
Mentor and train staff members on monitoring and evaluation methodologies and data analysis techniques.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Economics, Statistics, Business Administration, or Development Studies. A Master’s degree is preferred.
Proven experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably in the context of entrepreneurship development or business support programs.
Strong quantitative and qualitative data analysis skills, including proficiency in statistical software.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to travel occasionally for field visits and data collection activities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in the non-profit sector or with international development organizations.
Familiarity with impact measurement frameworks.
Experience with proposal writing and grant management processes.
Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation standards and guidelines.
