Micro Banking Sales Representative

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
 
Business Growth & Relationship Functions

Proactive marketing of micro banking lending and deposit opportunities from current and prospective clients to enable achievement of the set performance objectives.

Market the bank’s service capabilities; looking for ways to enhance the relationship outside of lending.

Identify and forge localized partnerships with organizations to support acquisition of micro business.

Maintain good productive relationship with customers and other stakeholders.

Cross sell the bank’s products and services to Micro clients.

Identify new product opportunities through local market intelligence.

 Loan Cycle Management

Conduct initial assessment of loan applicants and advising on requirements

Responsible for undertaking loan appraisals including; business and residential visits; character/financial assessment, reference checks with all necessary documentation.

Analyze loan applications and make the appropriate recommendations for approval.

Follow up on all loan applications and advising customers of the credit approval decision.

Prepare loan pre-documentation.

Proactive monitoring of the loan portfolio to ensure timely loan repayments and management of the portfolio at risk (PAR 1 day) position within the desired level.

Customer Care

Promote business for the Bank by maintaining good customer relations and referring customers to appropriate staff for new services.

Provide timely and organized responses to customer questions/disputes;

Keep customer information Confidential

Work closely with other branch staff to maintain a high degree of customer service level and focus.

Position requirements
 
Skills & Experience:

A University Degree in a  Business related Field from an accredited University

AKIB, CPA, Business or Credit related Diploma courses will be an added advantage.

Experience in microfinance will be desirable
