Merchandiser, Greater Africa

Key Accountabilities:

Serve as a key liaison for day to day global sourcing operations and work effectively with cross-functional partners across the globe
Manage WIP reports and closely monitoring bulk production to ensure orders are shipped on time.
Understanding of all TCP processes, systems and expectations
Adopt a robust process to understand the root cause of issues and work on a corrective action plan with the factories
Maintain seasonal production calendar to ensure deadlines are met
Follow up and advise the factory to plan things realistically so that they can work on achieving the set goals and deliveries.
Maintain product cost updates and communicate with overseas offices regarding requested costing options
Align tasks to achieve on-time delivery and quality product for the product approval process
Resolve quality and Purchase order fulfilment issues, working with Quality Assurance, Merchandising, Planning and Retail / Wholesale departments
Understand thoroughly importing regulations for all regions, including classification
Manage supplier terms and conditions, including payment and shortage / overage
Assist the Senior Merchandiser and Merchandising Manager on any necessary tasks required
Implementing proper and efficient tracking mechanisms with which to effectively manage and monitor the business
Increase duty free penetration and by ensuring that the proper costings structures and mechanisms are in place in order to deliver the best prices to the business

Education and Experience:

Degree or above credential in Fashion Design, Clothing/Textiles, or related discipline
4 years of experience in related role
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Good command of both verbal and written English skills and local language
Previous experience in merchandising or retail preferred.
