Our goal is to become the gathering place for the top 5% of leadership talent and to scale to hundreds of cities across Africa and around the world.About The Alx Founding TeamAs a member of the founding team, you will be the entrepreneur launching the ALX Hub in your city – and then growing it to its full potential. You will build a team and relationships with corporate partners, establish a local brand, and develop a community of leaders and entrepreneurs to establish ALX as the catalyst for top talent in your city. You will have full P&L responsibility for your city and will be expected to grow operations from $0 to $10 – $15m in revenues within 5 years.The ALX Membership Experience Lead will make ALX the ‘go-to’ place for the top talent in a given city and a vibrant, entrepreneurial hub. We are looking for a masterful community builder who is able to curate powerful and inspiring experiences for our members and the broader ALX ecosystem.What You’ll Do As The Membership Experience Lead

Bring the unique ALX culture, rituals and values to life through developing and curating a community for our members and the broader ecosystem
Oversee the end to end delivery and operations of the ALX Community (incl. marketing, programing, events management, partnerships, hospitality)
Conceptualise and create transformational experiences for learning, development and community building nature to our membership and the local network
Hold full ownership of the customer experience of our community members
Grow and retain the membership base by building relationships and delivering on the community value proposition by delivering high quality experiences
Plan and run operations of community events and other programing
Build partnerships with external lifelong learning providers to offer unique learning experiences to our members
Monitor and evaluate impact, effectiveness and efficiency of the community
Support a team of incredibly passionate, talented and diverse people and champion our unique culture
Build systems and processes that contribute to making ALX Hubs scalable and cost efficient; support the development of playbooks and continuous improvement cycles to scale ALX

What You’ll Need

3+ years of relevant work experience
Experience in organising high-end transformational experiences and curating meaningful exchanges
Plugged-in to the local community
Stellar networking skills and the ability to make smart partnerships happen
Love for connecting and interacting with people

And most importantly…

Comfortable with uncertainty, changing priorities and a startup environment, but with knowledge and insight to build structure and systems where needed
Passionate about scalable and innovative leadership development
Skills: Problem solving, relationship building, experience design, negotiations, storytelling
Mindsets: Entrepreneurial, servitude, data-driven, customer first, visionary, influencer & hospitality
