Key Responsibilities

Program Evaluation and Impact Assessment:

Design and implement comprehensive evaluation frameworks to assess the effectiveness of training programs and projects in achieving desired outcomes.
Conduct regular impact assessments to quantify the organisation’s success in job creation and talent development among young Africans.
Use data to measure the success rate of graduates in securing meaningful livelihoods post-training.

Data Management and Analysis:

Develop and oversee a robust data management system to collect, store, and analyse data on learners, projects, and overall program performance.
Generate insights from data to inform strategic decision-making and program improvement.

Reporting and Communication:

Prepare detailed reports on program achievements and challenges, highlighting impact metrics such as job creation rates, project completion rates, and learner success stories.
Communicate findings to internal and external stakeholders, including donors, partners, and the broader community.

Quality Assurance and Program Improvement:

Implement quality assurance measures to ensure the highest standards of training and project execution.
Identify areas for program improvement based on evaluation findings and lead efforts to enhance the effectiveness of PLP’s interventions.

Stakeholder Engagement and Partnership Development:

Engage with key stakeholders, including learners, trainers, partners, and funders, to gather feedback and build strong relationships.
Explore and develop partnerships with other organisations and entities to expand the reach and impact of PLP’s programs.

Capacity Building and Training:

Facilitate capacity-building initiatives for staff and instructors to enhance their skills in monitoring, evaluation, and data analysis.

Strategic Planning and Advisory:

Contribute to the organisation’s strategic planning processes by providing data-driven insights and recommendations.
Serve as a key advisor to the leadership team on matters related to program effectiveness, scalability, and sustainability.

Innovation and Technology Integration:

Leverage technology to enhance the efficiency of M&E processes and to offer innovative solutions for training and skill acquisition.
Stay abreast of emerging trends in tech education and development sectors to ensure PLP remains at the forefront of talent development in Africa.

Qualifications

Educational Background:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Monitoring and Evaluation, International Development, or a related discipline. A Master’s degree is an added advantage.

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) roles, preferably within the non-profit or development sector.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in data visualisation tools, particularly PowerBI, to effectively present data insights.
Strong skills in data management and analysis, with experience in developing and overseeing robust data management systems.
Familiarity with evaluation frameworks and methodologies to assess program effectiveness.
Proficient in using Canva and/or PowerPoint to create engaging presentations and graphics, designing clear, professional layouts to communicate key findings effectively.

Advanced Technical Skills:

Proficiency in other data visualisation and analysis tools such as Tableau, R, or Python.
Ability to design, implement, and manage multiple surveys, including impact assessments and baseline studies, to collect and analyze data that supports program evaluation and informs decision-making processes

Analytical Skills:

Ability to conduct comprehensive program evaluations and impact assessments.
Strong analytical skills to generate actionable insights from data and inform strategic decision-making.
