The position
The Medical Oncologist will work as full-time resident specialist with a highly skilled and competent oncology team to ensure the delivery of quality service to oncology patients. S/he will participate in the development of evidence-based protocols for oncology care and in the implementation of a “patient-centered” comprehensive Cancer Program.
In consultation with medical leadership team, physicians and other stakeholders, the position holder will take leadership in developing policies, Standard Operating Procedures and guidelines of the program.
The requirements
Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from a recognized institution
Postgraduate degree in internal medicine and recognized training in medical oncology from a recognized University
Registration and Specialist Recognition as a Medical Oncologist by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council
Courteous, excellent team player with the ability to get well with a diverse and multi-cultured workforce.
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically, and to work flexibly and independently with multiple reporting relationships.
