Medical Advisor

This position will report to the Medical Director and the scope includes East Africa eHub which comprises of Kenya, Ethiopia, Uganda andTanzania.
The objective of the Medical Advisor position is to implement the medical strategy of the East African Hub in collaboration with General Medicine and Emerging Markets (GEM) Global Medical Affairs plans whilst providing medical and scientific expertise to enable full realization of product value. In addition the incumbent is responsible for the development of Sanofi’ reputation among its partners.
Key Accountabilities
Marketing and Commercial:
Contribute to strategic guidance in therapeutic areas
Liaise with marketing to ensure external communication is effective and scientifically sound
Act as medical lead in all Medico –Marketing activities and key projects in the zone to provide medical affairs leadership.
Train marketing and sales teams in specific therapy areas
Acta as a local medical lead to provide scientific insight in the development of affiliate promotional material in accordance with local company and international standards
Medical :
Development, Implementation and follow up publications of clinical studies in the region
Distill and communicate clear content from the wealth of scientific data available
Initiate and develop advisory boards for specific therapy areas
Ensure compliance with Kenya Association of Pharmaceutical Industry code, and company procedure in promotional materials.
Respond to and document Medical Information enquiries
Provide oversight over External engagements with Healthcare providers and organizations
Key external expert management in the assigned therapy areas
Regulatory:
Ensuring ethics in consumption
Participating in securing ethics in our actions
Recording clinical studies (ethics committees, Regulatory bodies) in the required systems
Provide support in registering products
