Responsibility;
Identify and propose innovative solutions for various opportunities to upscale output and new fields of venturing;
Have a futuristic approach for mechanization, identifying opportunities for the company and the processes to venture in;
Obtain data, analyse the data and make recommendation of improving mechanization of operations and solving manufacturing-related problems;
Ensure all machines are working and performance is at per;
Ensure proper planning and availability of materials needed for production and processes;
Identify problems or works and determine their worth or impact on the overall production and quality;
Plan and ensure proper maintenance of equipment in production, materials. utilities and maintenance of the entire facility machines;
Ensure availability of necessary equipment documentation. (Manuals and operating instructions);
Ensure proper Installation, qualification and calibration of equipment and materials.
Ensure day to day monitoring of the performance and requirements for the maintenance, coordination and implementation of projects aimed at enhancing production or process flow;
Ensure proper monitoring of power and fuel consumption vs, production;
Ensure proper preparation of operational procedures and maintenance work instructions;
Assess training needs for personnel and give necessary training as required;
Preparation and control of department budget and expenditures.
Qualifications;
BSc Engineering in Mechatronics Engineering;
At least 5 to 8 years proven experience in the manufacturing industry;
Experience in design and programming(coding) an added advantage;
Proven skills in problem saving, innovations, research and implementation of ideas;
Excellent report writing skills is a must with proper documentation of processes and output;
Good collaborative, time management and coordination skills;
Hands-on experience with computer-aided engineering (CAM) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAE)
Familiarity with 2D or 3D engineering design and manufacturing tools (e.g., AutoCAD, ProE or other)
Adequate knowledge of engineering analysis tools (ANSYS, Poromechanical or similar)
