Role:
Responsible for all aspects of the project relating to building services. The role includes the management of the MEP site team to ensure that the day-to-day duties are performed professionally and expeditiously to support the ongoing progress of the project.
Duties but not limited to the following:
Manage, and oversee the work of subordinate staff and contact the MEP coordinator.
Provide technical advice to the project manager or contractor regarding the installation and maintenance of the MEP System.
Analyse Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing engineering problems and formulate solutions.
Identify problems in design, plan, manage, and deliver multiple projects.
Plan, organize, review, and evaluate the work of consultants, contractors, and others.
Advise the Mechanical Engineer of any technical aspects of the mechanical services that may affect construction progress, e.g. quality or snag.
Continually review the contractor’s construction schedule during the progress of the site works about MEP services and report to the Project Manager on the same.
Manage the day-to-day work of the MEP site team.
Experience and Qualifications
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum of 3 years experience working on a construction site
Bachelor’s degree/ Higher Diploma in Engineering is an added advantage
Use of engineering software i.e., AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, MS project, etc.
