MD Africa Operational Excellence Manager

The MD will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing monthly financial reports, leading cross-functional meetings, and presenting key findings to the senior management team (SMT). Additionally, the MD will work closely with stakeholders to address and resolve any operational challenges, escalate country-specific risks, and ensure alignment with the company’s overall goals and objectives.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, financial acumen, and the ability to navigate complex, multicultural environments.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Managing Country Managers
Weekly engagements with country managers for country updates
Follow-up on any issues that require de-bottlenecking for Country Managers
Managing Cost Accountant for Country Management
Review of Monthly P&L and management reports for countries, engaging relevant stakeholders.
Leading cross-functional weekly meetings to review the country’s monthly report.
Lead presentation of country monthly report weekly
Escalating country risks to SMT.
Travel regularly to the countries to engage with local teams, assess operations, and strengthen relationships.

Skills and Experience:

A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field is required. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA, PMP) are a plus.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior management role, preferably in a multinational or diverse regional setting.
Proven track record of managing and leading cross-functional teams.
Experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and P&L management.
Demonstrated experience in managing country operations or regional business units.
Experience in presenting to and engaging with senior management teams (SMT) and stakeholders.
