MCK MEDIA INDUSTRIAL ATTACHMENT PROGRAMME
Duration of the Industrial Attachment The attachment lasts for a period of Three (3) Months May July 2025. The Council will provide a monthly stipend for the trainees’ upkeep.
Eligibility
Students pursuing a degree or diploma in Journalism, Media Studies, Communications, Digital and Corporate Communication, who meet the above requirements are eligible to apply.
Placement
Beneficiaries will be placed in recognised media/communication outlets across the country under the following areas of specialisation: Print, Broadcast Radio/Television, Technical/ Production and Digital.

The Media Council of Kenya (MCK) in partnership with recognised media houses runs media industrial attachment programme which is geared towards providing journalism/communication students with practical work experience before graduation and to prepare them for the job market..
Eligibility Requirements
Final year students from a recognised university or college.
Recommendation letter from the University or College stating the period when the placement is required.
Valid registration for Industrial attachment unit at College or University.
Academic transcripts for the current academic year.
Valid Student Identification Card.
Valid MCK Student Press Card 2025.
Sample of journalistic work done before, including online content school project etc.
Interested students can apply by submitting all requirements through online portal with the subject title: Application for MCK Media Industrial Attachment Programme on or before Sunday, 13 April 2025.
