JOB OUTLINE:
Responsible for the sale of Caterpillar products and services to an assigned account list and via face to face meetings. The Material Handling Sales Representative typically manages between 100 and 120 customers primarily of MEDIUM size and carrying a revenue quota in excess of $2m per year while handling sales for the company’s Material Handling portfolio of products.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Deliver sales target through the sale of Caterpillar products and services
Ensure coverage to customers meets Mantrac guidelines, both in terms of frequency and number of calls
Establish strong relationship with all decision makers, influencers and blockers within assigned customers.
Ability to do cold calls while prospecting for new customers.
Understand customers businesses and key needs and participate at all opportunities within assigned accounts.
Produce accurate sales outlook figures on a monthly basis
Maintain customer and opportunity data in Salesforce.com
Keeping abreast on Competitor Products, Prices, Commercial Terms and stock levels and report on them on a monthly basis.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Engineering or Business-related degree or equivalent qualification.
4 years sales experience in an earthmoving equipment industry with focus on material handling.
Must have a valid driving license.
Experience in using a CRM database.
