Key Responsibilities:

Conducting fieldwork for data collection, including surveys and sample collection.
Performing laboratory experiments to refine ONT protocols for pathogen detection.
Utilizing ONT sequencing and bioinformatics tools to analyze genomic data, identify disease pathogens, and detect antimicrobial resistance genes.
Collaborating with healthcare professionals, government officials, and community stakeholders to support the effective application of research findings.
Engaging in training sessions and workshops to develop research translation skills and promote evidence-based policymaking.

Vacancy Requirements:

Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry/Microbiology / Molecular Biology/ Biotechnology/ Genomics or any related biological science course from a recognized institution and should have registered for M.Sc. in the above fields.    Mandatory
Be familiar with conducting extensive literature reviews    Mandatory
Conversant with basic microbial culture techniques and epidemiology    Mandatory
Be familiar with whole genome sequence technologies and applications    Mandatory
