Duties and Responsibilities
The main duty is sourcing for advertisements and placement in the Institute’s official journal, The Quantity Surveyor. This will include liaising with the Editor, writing and proofreading advertisements, liaising with designers and printers.
Sourcing and securing sponsorship for the Institute’s activities such as conferences, seminars, receptions and exhibitions.
Managing of marketing materials, including leaflets, posters, flyers, newsletters, e newsletters and DVDs.
Contributing to, and developing, marketing plans and strategies and identifying marketing opportunities.
Organizing and overseeing the Institute’s events such as conferences, seminars, receptions and exhibitions.
Qualifications
A minimum academic qualification of a Degree in Marketing or a related field.
Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role.
An understanding of the construction industry is preferred.
Be energetic, result-oriented and well spoken.
Be IT savvy.
Female candidates preferred.
Experience managing social media pages.
Experience with quantity surveyors’ professional bodies is a plus.
