Market Research Assistant

As the Data Analyst, you will research, compile, and analyze information on supplier profiles, consumer profiles, competitor landscape and market conditions to identify potential new markets and sourcing and sales opportunities.

Tasks

Creating standardized reporting to review findings and/or performance and make recommendations on additional data points to monitor and measure across new and current markets

Interpreting data, analyzing results using statistical techniques to track key KPIs/SLAs in the new markets
Work on the whole analysis process from start to finish. This means extracting, cleaning, analyzing and presenting your findings
Recruit and train market research representatives in new towns to ensure qualitative and quantitative data collection
Identify and shortlist suitable market research companies in the region and the collaboration structure with MGA
During the budgeting cycle process, working collaboratively with the relevant teams to validate expansion models and assumptions to fit in the budget.
Developing, implementing and maintaining databases/data collection systems that optimize data analytics within the business operations ecosystem.
Prepare the Expansion tool template to be used to collect data for regional expansion
Analyze large data sets and select, test and develop the best method or model for your analysis together with your manager and other team members
Any other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Successful launch and handover of new operations to the local teams.
Achieve over 95% of the target as outlined in the project success criteria.
Proper documentation of all project documents.
Prepare and share expansion templates for new towns, processes, products and equipment. introduction with the Department Heads in the region.
Execution of projects within set timelines and budgets.
Prepare risk analysis and mitigation activities for all projects.
100% timely communication of project progress to relevant stakeholders in the business.
Average time to resolve risks and issues.

Requirements

At least 2 – 3 years of relevant work experience
Are a clear communicator who can easily translate complex analytical methods to business stakeholders and are comfortable in presenting the results of your analyses to different stakeholders
Proficient in advanced Ms Excel. Added advantage working with google suite applications.
Outstanding interpersonal, communication, listening and presentation skills.
Demonstrable problem-solving skills.
Have developed strong analytical skills through relevant work experience as a business analyst, data analyst or similar.
Ability to work with a team and pay attention to detail.
Ability to be adaptable, flexible and change ready.
Expert in analysing data in at least one of Power BI / R / Python
Have a strong business sense and have the ease of seeing the totality and make fast interpretations of data and other information.
A clear communicator who can easily translate complex analytical methods to business stakeholders and are comfortable in presenting the results of your analyses to different stakeholders.
