Overview
This position is a cluster resource covering Sub Saharan Africa and will report into the Head of Market Development for Sub Saharan Africa. In view of MasterCard’s business evolution, there is a need to strengthen the Sub Saharan Africa regional strategic vision to drive business development in order to reach the following objectives:
Build scale and increase market share in Prepaid Management (PMS) & Data/Card Processing Solutions (PTS) accelerating business development opportunities and partnerships across the region.Supporting the development of strong in country plan strategic Prepaid Management & Processing Solutions business plans
This position is designed to identify, develop and execute the relevant business development opportunities across Sub Saharan Africa
Responsibilities Include

Lead the Sales and Business Development activities including the Strategy and Market preparation activities, for the Prepaid Management (PMS) & Data/Card Processing Solutions (PTS) business in Africa, translating sales and product strategy to revenue.
Ensure that customers clearly understand how our Solutions and Services could potentially interface with their platforms and achieve their business requirements.
Assist with the creation of training materials and development activities to advance the capability of the downstream marketing team and account teams.
Manage the Sales & Customer Delivery pipeline for prepaid management and processing solutions working with the country and account managers to qualify and prioritize initiatives;
Work with cross functional teams – Product, Pricing, and Customer Delivery to identify other viable propositions that accelerate our G2M efforts and Time to Revenue.
Drive ongoing engagement and dialogue with the Risk and Compliance Management teams at all levels with the Banks, and lead conversations at multiple levels with nontraditional vertical partnerships across alternative industries.
Manage the current portfolio with existing customers with a portfolio optimization focus.

All About You
Qualifications Required:

Good working knowledge and understanding of payments vertical focusing on data/card processing assets and prepaid management/product solutions.
Sales and business development – additionally experience within the card processing and prepaid management services is required.
Numerical abilities & financial acumen, comfort in working with numbers, P&L, developing business case models. Detail oriented.
Strong Commercial acumen and Complex deal structuring Skills
Self-Starter, Results, driven, comfortable with remote/virtual working.
Negotiation Skills, Solution design and Presentation skills
Requires an in depth knowledge of the operational capabilities of acquirers/processors and their organizational goals, objectives and vision.
10 + years of relevant experience in acceptance / payments / technology / banking verticals
Relevant tertiary qualifications.
