Basic job summary:
The manager will help develop and implement the Internationalization Strategy of the University and provide support to the Deans and Heads of Department in the implementation of the programmes, projects and initiatives.
Duties & Responsibilities:
International Collaboration Assist in developing strategic alliances and manage institutional partnerships and collaborations, and work with schools and research institutes to develop their international agenda.
Global Profile Build an international profile for Strathmore University through the website, visits, media coverage, events, and conferences held at the University or its partner organizations.
Events Management Lead partnership-related special projects, assignments, and events by managing the preplanning, execution, and postproduction.
Administrative Matters Work in liaison with representatives from the schools and departments to manage an ongoing schedule of visits to the University by international stakeholders and coordinate visits by students, faculty, Strathmore University delegations, teams, or groups to institutions in other regions of the world.
Operations Management Work with the Deans and Heads of Department to ensure that strategy becomes an integral part of the day to day running of all university functions.
Monitoring and Evaluation Regularly review existing partnerships and advice the relevant entity on any necessary action including renewal, termination, etc.
Strategic Partnerships: Develop strategic alliances and manage institutional partnerships and collaborations, and work with schools and research institutes to develop their international agendas.
Any other duty as may be assigned from time to time as long as it is within the scope of the job and is aligned to the mission and vision of the University.
Minimum Academic Qualifications:
Educated to Master’s degree level or equivalent.
Management, Marketing, Sales or Public Relations
Experience:
At least three- five years’ experience, not necessarily related but transferable skills. Experience in higher education is preferred.
Ideal candidate must have solid experience in budget, staff and volunteer management and a demonstrated history of successfully implementing change, building programs and creating policy.
