Job Description Summary-Purpose of this role is conduct and oversee the conduct of IBM within the scope of the IBM region, and to provide assurance that GSK is maintaining the highest standards through the conduct of IBM or the receipt of information from third parties who conduct IBM on GSK’s behalf.
Job Description-Key Responsibilities
Independently perform IBM activities according to the IBM framework to time and quality where required.
Support the IBM Hub leads/IBM Directors in the oversight and conduct of IBM.
Partner with third party testing provider to review and align outputs in accordance with IBM expectations.
Interpretation of data and identify trends. Provide guidance as necessary for remediation efforts (including root cause analysis)
Awareness of local laws and regulations and their alignment with GSK policy for specific risk areas IBM covers.
Maintain high degree of credibility, independence, integrity, confidentiality, and trust with all stakeholders.
Partner with the business and Compliance to support implementation of new or enhanced controls to mitigate identified and emerging risks.
Identify and deliver opportunities for continuous improvement of the process
Key skills
Strong risk assessment skills and the translation of those skills into the pragmatic application of monitoring, is required to ensure the IBM is relevant, proportionate to the level of risk to GSK and in line with the GSK risk appetite.
Independently perform independent business monitoring across diverse activities at the LOC, regional and BU level that give risk to ABAC, Commercial Practices and Scientific Engagement/Medical Affairs risk, according to the IBM framework to time and quality where required.
Support the IBM Hub leads in the oversight and conduct of IBM across the LOCS and BUs covered by the hub.
Partner with third party testing provider to review and align outputs in accordance with IBM expectations.
Interpret monitoring outcomes and identify trends that potentially give risk to an unacceptable level of risk across multiple principle risks.
Partner with the Compliance business partners and the business to identify proportionate corrective action plans commensurate with the degree of risk to GSK.
Partner with the business and Compliance to support implementation of new or enhanced controls to mitigate identified and emerging risks.
Continuously identify learnings and opportunities for improvement and simplification in the monitoring approach, and influence the overall monitoring strategy.
Awareness of local laws and regulations and their alignment with GSK policy for specific risk areas IBM covers.
Act as a point of contact to a broad range of stakeholders and to determine/evaluate if proposed activities are aligned with GSK Policy.
Ability to operate effectively within a complex matrix structure.
