Key Responsibilities / Duties / Tasks
Formulating and implementing policies and strategies for the department; coordinating budget formulation.
Providing strategic leadership on all matters of prudent financial management, policies, and strategies on legal and advisory services for the Centre, development of appropriate Human Resource policies, aligning supply chain objective with
overall institutional objective, overseeing implementation of the ICT strategies and policies.
Ensuring accountability and prudent management of resources and assets and ensuring compliance with principles and values of good governance transparency, accountability, ethics and integrity.
Organizing and coordinating transport and logistical services, office services, security, accommodation, asset management, general office administration records and registry services.
Coordinating implementation of the strategic plan, performance contract, quality management system and performance appraisal systems.
Monitoring, evaluating, and reviewing work plans for the Corporate Support Services Department.
Monitoring, evaluating, and reviewing work plans for the department.
Working Conditions
Normal office working conditions, extra hours (beyond normal office working hours)within the office with occasional travel to the field and international travel.
Qualifications
For appointment to this grade an officer must have: –
Served in the grade of Principal Officer, in the Corporate Support Services Department for a period of three (3) years.
Or,
Relevant working experience of at least seven (7) years with a minimum of five (5) years in a senior management position in public or private organization.
Bachelor’s degree in either Marketing, Communications, Finance or
Business Administration from a recognized university.
A post-graduate degree in a relevant field.
Attended a Strategic Leadership Development Programme lasting not less than six (6) weeks in a recognized institution or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Have met all the requirements of Chapter six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya; and
Be a member of a recognized professional body in good standing
