We are seeking to recruit a Management Accountant who analyzes financial data to provide insights and reports to management, assisting in strategic decision-making by preparing budgets, forecasting future performance, and evaluating cost efficiency through detailed analysis of operational activities, ultimately aiming to optimize the company’s financial health and profitability.
Key responsibilities of the Role
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Creating and managing budgets for different departments, forecasting future financial performance based on market trends and company strategies.
Cost Analysis:
Analyzing cost drivers and identifying areas for cost reduction, including variance analysis to compare actual costs against budgeted amounts.
Performance Reporting:
Preparing regular financial reports for management, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and analyzing trends to identify areas for improvement.
Financial Modeling:
Developing financial models to assess potential business scenarios, such as new product launches or expansion plans.
Strategic Planning:
Collaborating with other departments to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
Internal Controls:
Ensuring the integrity of financial data by implementing and monitoring internal controls.
Data Analysis:
Utilizing data analytics tools to extract meaningful insights from financial data.
Role Requirements
Strong analytical skills: Ability to interpret complex financial data and draw insightful conclusions.
Financial accounting knowledge: Thorough understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Problem-solving skills: Ability to identify issues, analyze root causes, and propose solutions.
Communication skills: Effectively communicating complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
Software proficiency: Expertise in SAP and data analysis tools
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a Business-related field from a recognized University.
Recognized professional certificate in accounting such as CPA (K), ACCA or CIMA equivalents.
A minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in a similar role. added advantage if you have worked in the Advertising industry
Member of The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK).
Proven track record in conducting cost analysis, budgeting, and financial modelling.
Outstanding business acumen, knowledge of accounting processes and attention to detail to ensure the integrity of financial reports and analysis.
Excellent data analysis and reporting skills.
