The Operator may fulfill multiple roles in the Distribution Center environment Inbound and/or Outbound inventory accurately, timely, and safely. The Operator is responsible for operating equipment as part of the distribution process within a fast-paced warehouse setting. The Operator will utilize equipment while performing tasks to include receiving, unloading, scanning, moving, staging, loading, locating, relocating, and stacking product.
Responsibilities
Reads work instructions to determine items to be moved, gathered, and/or distributed
Pulls and prepares product for shipment, in an efficient manner, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded
Sorts and places materials or items on pallets, racks or designated areas according to predetermined pallet positions
Loads, unloads, moves, stacks and stages products using a forklift, hand clump, reach truck or other power equipment
Maintains equipment by keeping it clean and safe, reporting service requests as needed
Assists in maintaining the safety of the warehouse by conducting operations in a manner which promotes safety
Weighing and/or counting items received and/or dispatched from warehouse to ensure conformance to company standards
Assists with physical inventories and cycle counts, ensuring proper stock rotation
Assists in distribution center/warehouse clean-up as required
Requirements
Minimum of 1-year recent experience in a warehouse environment
Previous experience operating a Reach truck and/or Forklift
Certified Forklift operation licence
OHS training
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
Ability to follow safety regulations while operating equipment
Ability to learn proper operations of warehouse equipment
Basic computer skills (Word, Excel) including basic data entry
