Logistics Officer

The Logistics Officer is responsible to coordinate for all matters related to destination custom clearance, regulatory approvals, build relations on the ground and ensure timely deliveries to site.
Roles & Responsibilities
Objective – To ensure timely deliveries.

Maintaining tracker for all shipments scheduled to arrive at gateway port and inform Business Unit Logistics (Sharjah, UAE) team for necessary support and action as needed.
Review weekly dispatch/arrival/offloading performance as per the Operation plan and update on the progress.
Understand and execute the Operation plan thoroughly on the ground and keep communication very stable between – project, Business Unit Logistics, and forwarder teams.
Proactively maintain alerts of overdue payments to forwarders.
Have meetings with local freight forwarder /liner
To monitor and ensure timely documentation for clearances and maintain alerts for complete and correct document sets being received at the destination.
Co-ordinate proactively with the project team/client/customs/port, airport authorities for timely documentation.
Monitor landside movement of vehicles from port to sites and update in case of any delays.

Experience:
Minimum 7 years experience as a Logistics Officer with at least 3 years of experience in Civil Construction or Power Distribution Project. 
The candidate should be fluent in English. Preference will be given for Kenyan Nationals.
