KEY RESPOSIBILITIES
Certifying staff report to the HOBM administratively but functionally responsible to the Hangar Supervisor and Workshop Supervisors and their principal duties are as follows:
Carry out and certify maintenance and repair on aircraft, aircraft components and engines and;
Satisfying safety standards and business needs at optimized cost for PAL and third-party operators.
Check that required tools and equipment are available and in good condition.
Determine and request spare parts and materials for tasks.
Verify that all manuals/data being used are current.
Develop technicians for increased efficiency.
Control usage of material and resources for optimized cost.
Record accurately all maintenance actions including man-hours in accordance with the KCAA requirements and PAL engineering procedures. Ensure all documentation is in place and signed before issuing a Certificate of Release to service.
Inform their respective Managers on all maintenance progress.
Be conversant with the requirements of Maintenance Procedures Manual, CARS, approved Schedules, Manufacturers Manual, and Airworthiness Notices
QUALIFICATIONS
Licensed AME in CAT A and C (B1.1/B1.2)
Have a minimum of 5yrs experience i releasing aircrafts back into service in an approved maintenance organization
Hold valid type trainings on Cessna 150, 172, 182 and 206 and associated engines. Trainings on PT6A, King-air and Caravan 208 series will be of added advantage.
